What are the best deeds in the first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah and on Eid al-Adha?

Abdullaah ibn ‘Umar RadiAllahu ‘anhu reported that the Prophet ﷺ said:

There are no days greater in the sight of Allaah and in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Him than these ten days, so during this time recite a great deal of Tahleel (“La ilaaha ill-Allaah”), Takbeer (Allahu Akbar) and Tahmeed (Alhumdulillah).

To sacrifice an animal on this day is the best thing a Muslim can do. The Prophet ﷺ said:

There is no work loved more by Allah on this day than (the sacrifice of an animal for the sake of Allah). Those animals, which you will sacrifice now, will come to you on the Day of Judgement with its horns, hair and skin of the good deeds you have done in this life. Allah will accept that blood from the animal even before it touches the ground. So feel good about it.
